Exciting Entertainment Ideas

If you really want to make your wedding memorable bring in some surprise entertainment. Guests will delight in watching a performance or dancing along to unique music. Adding entertainment can really personalize your wedding. Entertainment reflects how you two are as a couple, and lets your guests share in the things you love. Here are some ideas:

Bring in some dancers! For this event dancers came in to do flamenco dancing, which fit the Spanish-style Santa Barbara Historical Museum Venue perfectly. Guests watched as they twirled around, doing traditional dances that livened up the reception.

Have a live band that will play all your favorite songs. This is a fantastic option for cocktail hour, it adds a touch of the couple while they are still out taking photos. Many bands allow you to decide on your favorite instruments and make a list of songs to play. That way you get exactly what you want and can request songs you know your friends and family with enjoy. For this wedding we got members of the USC marching band to come perform, there were lots of USC football fans in the crowd who were so shocked by the surprise!

Have lawn games available to play. You can order them made high quality, so they don’t take away from your aesthetic. If you have an outdoor space this would be a lively addition. Cornhole, croquet, huge-Jenga blocks… there are a ton of possibilities.

Hire a live painter to come and paint your first dance. Painters can capture the vibe of your reception space and add in all the most important people in your life. Your guests can watch them work and see the finished piece at the end of the night. You’ll get a special keepsake to use as décor in your home too!

You can also end the night with something that gets your guests involved. As you walk out to your getaway car have guest toss petals or hold sparklers-make the send-off extra special!
