Do Wedding Chairs Matter?
Sometimes we find ourselves saying, this doesn't matter, that won't matter, no one will notice if you don't order the (insert item here), but more recently we have gotten the question,
"Do chairs at my wedding really matter?"
We think they do. They are in all ceremony photos, they are in all of your dining photos and they take up a good portion of space. They can be comfortable or unbearable, they can also really change the tone of an event and evoke a lot of design. Yes, all that in a silly chair.
So what do we think you can get away without, if you need to cut your budget or don't have room for chairs? We like to think we are creative and sometimes if the venue has a chiavari chair and it goes well enough with your decor, then for only a couple bucks you can swap out the cushion. We sometimes suggest mixing chairs in order to average out your overall rental budget. We aren't huge fans of staff moving chairs, especially if it can be seen, but if you must then we suggest having enough chairs at the reception for the photographers to at least shoot detail shots at the table.
"So what kinds of chairs exist?"
Oh man, now you are speaking our language... there are so many kinds and we happen to have a list and photos for you to peruse.
Happy Chair Hunting!
